Hallberg is a locality ( tätort ) in the Swedish province County Örebro and capital of the homonymous municipality . A small part (119 hectares ) of the area of the place with 560 inhabitants (2015) belongs to the neighboring municipality of Kumla .
Attractions
The house built by the architect Ferdinand Boberg for the merchant Adolf Bergöö ( Bergööska huset ) is worth seeing . The ballroom of the house is decorated with wall paintings by Carl Larsson , who married the daughter of the merchant. The Norrby stenar burial ground is two kilometers northeast of the city.
traffic
The place is a junction of the Swedish railways on Västra stambanan , where trains from Stockholm , Gothenburg , Örebro , Motala and Karlstad meet. The associated train station was laid out in 1862. Sweden's largest marshalling yard is also located here .
