Norrby stenar
The Norrby stenar cemetery is located two kilometers northeast of the city of Hallsberg , south of the Sannahedsvägen road in the Swedish province of Örebro län .
Remnants of the probably larger burial ground have survived. In addition to 15 aufracht standing single units and six round boulders four received can be found here Domarringe from the Germanic Iron Age (about 400-550 n. Chr.). The diameter of the stone circles are between eight and 15 meters, an oval domar ring measures around 16 by 20 meters. The stone circles consist of seven to nine stones. Two circles have lost a stone each. The individual standing stones are unevenly distributed over the site, they may have belonged to dome rings that had gone out.
The archaeological investigation showed that the stone circles of Norrby stenar are all markings for cremation graves. Based on the grave goods, they could be dated to the Iron Age.
