The computer game Hardline is an interactive film developed by Cryo Interactive Entertainment and published by Virgin Interactive in 1996.

action

In the future, the city of Detroit will be in very bad shape. An open battle rages between the psychotic sectoids and some desperate rebels. Right in the middle: helicopter pilot Ted Irvine. Actually he doesn't want to have anything to do with this conflict - but fate has its own plans for him.

Gameplay

The story is driven by self-running video sequences. At certain points in these sequences, an action is required from the player. So you have to kill all sectoids quickly enough, perform a certain action or decide on a further path.

The quality of the scenes shot with real actors was quite good action films of the time. They contain special effects such as explosions and stunts and are elaborately produced.
