Hardward of Minden
Hardward († September 16, 853 in Minden ) was the second bishop of Minden from 813 to 853.
The name Hardward comes from Old High German and means the strong guardian . In his work he was supported by the deacon Meimelph, who was venerated as a saint; his feast day is November 1st . Bishop Hardward is venerated as a saint , as is Deacon Meimelph . The bishop's feast day is April 13th .
He has the longest term of office of all Minden bishops.
