Harold Hamm (born December 11, 1945 in Lexington , Oklahoma ) is an American entrepreneur .

Life

In 1967, Hamm founded the company Continental Resources , of which he is currently chairman, and which is active in fracking . In 2012, Mitt Romney , Republican Party presidential candidate, named him his energy advisor. According to Forbes Magazine , Hamm is one of the richest Americans.

Hamm has five children from two marriages. He lived with his second family in Enid , Oklahoma. In his second divorce in 2014, he was ordered by the court to pay his ex-wife nearly a billion dollars.
