Harry GH Lie

Harry GH Lie (* 1929 in Indonesia ) is a German architect .

Life

Lie comes from Indonesia, immigrated to the Netherlands with his parents , studied architecture in Amsterdam and worked in Florence for a few years before finally settling in Stuttgart. During the construction of Haus Barz in Gerlingen , he met Max Bächer , the site manager of the Gerlingen forest settlement at the time.

Harry GH Lie and Max Bächer worked together in the Bächer-Lie office community from 1965 to 1980, until Max Bächer went to Darmstadt as a university professor; Harry Lie continued to run the office in the west of Stuttgart.

• 1972–1974: House with daylight studio for the fashion photographer Walter E. Lautenbacher in Leonberg on the Engelberg
• 1980–1984: Extension of the Stuttgart crematorium
