Harry Goaz

Harry Goaz (* 27. December 1960 in Jacksonville , North Carolina as Harry Preston King ) is an American actor . He was best known for his role as Deputy Andy Brennan in Twin Peaks .

Life

Goaz was born in Jacksonville , North Carolina and grew up in Beaumont , Texas . He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin , where he graduated with a degree in fine arts . He learned acting under William Traylor at The Loft Studio in Los Angeles .

Goaz had his first meeting with David Lynch when he drove him to a Roy Orbison memorial service . Here Lynch decided that he would like to cast him for the role of Deputy Andy Brennan in his television series Twin Peaks . He embodied this role both in the series and in the subsequent film Twin Peaks - The 1992 film . In the continuation of the series from 2017, he slipped back into his most famous role.

After his time in Twin Peaks he starred in the television series Eerie, Indiana by Joe Dante and in the film The Backside of the Medal by Steven Soderbergh .
