Harry Nestler

Harry Paul Nestler (born March 8, 1943 in Wesermünde ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Bremen Parliament .

education and profession

Nestler grew up in Bremerhaven-Geestemünde and attended elementary school . He completed vocational training as a concrete worker and attended a technical college and a Bundeswehr technical school. He was then, among other things, site manager. Then he learned the profession of industrial clerk and industrial manager . He was a clerk in the German Armed Forces, then worked in work preparation and then head of department at a Bremen employment agency. He is currently the director of a youth hostel in Bremerhaven and a clerk in the development of work projects.

He is married and has one child.

politics

In 1983 Nestler joined the CDU. In 1987 he was elected to the Bremerhaven city council. Until May 2007 he was deputy group chairman there. After the general election in Bremen in 2007 he was a member of the Bremen parliament and CDU parliamentary group spokesman for labor from 2007 to 2011. He was represented in the committees for ports, in the petitions committee (country) and in the auditing committee as well as in the deputations for work and health and for social affairs, youth, senior citizens and the integration of foreigners.
