Hart auf Hart is a studio album by Austrian musician Peter Schleicher from 1979.

General

The record was recorded in August 1979 at Tyrolis Sound Studio in Zirl and was released on Wea Music with a gatefold cover. A cobblestone can be seen on the front and back , the texts and photos of the musicians are on the inside. All songs are cover versions of songs by the Rolling Stones , the lyrics were translated and interpreted into Viennese by Schleicher .

Most of the time he stayed true to the originals, but in some cases there were almost independent songs that can only be associated with the Stones through the music. Thus, from Jumpin 'Jack Flash , for example , the last Fetzentandler from Vienna and Street Fighting Man became Since Köch - a primal Viennese expression for argument. Peter Schleicher himself said about the album:

“Hart auf Hart is not a word-for-word translation, but an uncompromising reflection of the Stones and their time. For me, not that much has changed since the golden 60s. Fortunately, good music will always be good, and people will always stay the same. "
