The Hartheu-Spanner ( Siona lineata ), also black vein spanner , is a butterfly ( moth ) from the Spanner family (Geometridae).
features
The hard hay clamps reach a size of around 35 to 45 millimeters. The species is diurnal and relatively large for a member of the Spanner family, which means that on cursory inspection it can be mistaken for a white. A sure distinguishing feature are the thread-like feelers of the hard hay tensioner, while they are club-shaped in butterflies. It also differs from the Weißlingen in flight behavior . The animals rest in the lower vegetation and only fly a few meters when they are startled. It differs from similar tensioners by the contrasting dark veins of the wings.
Flight times
The Hartheu-Spanner flies in one generation from May to July.
Occurrence
The Hartheu-Spanner can be found on grasslands with dry areas.
