Hartmut Ditton

Hartmut Ditton (* 1956 ) is a German educational scientist .

Life

He studied pedagogy , sociology and psychology with a degree in education . After receiving his doctorate in Eichstätt in 1986 as Dr. phil. and the habilitation in educational sciences, he taught from 2000 as C3 professor for school pedagogy at the University of Osnabrück and since April 2001 as W3 professor at the concordat chair for general pedagogy, educational and socialization research at the LMU Munich .

His main research interests are school and family socialization, education, inequality and social change, evaluation and quality assurance in education, methods of empirical-educational research and multivariate statistical analysis processes.
