Christian Jasper (artist)
Christian Jasper (* 1967 in Dortmund ) is a German installation artist .
Life
Christian Jasper studied fine art at the Münster Art Academy from 1989 to 1995 and was a master student of Rainer Barzen . In 1995 he was Guest Riding Master at the Centro de Arte e Communicação Visual, Lisbon . From 1996 to 1998 he studied visual design and therapy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich .
Create
Christian Jasper's installations are prepared for the long term and precisely tailored to the exhibition space. He uses a variety of materials, but also drawings . Human figures are often part of his installations, which are colored in plasticine . He uses a commercially available modeling clay, which he modifies with additives such as beeswax . Since 2008 he has been using the letters ONO in his installations , which is supposed to function as a kind of branding .
