Hartmut Fricke

Hartmut Fricke (born July 1, 1967 in Berlin ) is a German transport scientist and professor of aviation technology and logistics at the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport Science at the TU Dresden , of which he has been dean since December 18, 2012.

Professional background

After graduating from the French grammar school in Berlin in 1985 , Fricke studied aerospace engineering at the TU Berlin until 1991 . He then worked there as a research assistant and received his doctorate in 1995 . Shortly after his habilitation in 2001, he was offered the chair for technology and logistics in air traffic at the TU Dresden, which he still holds today. In 2002 he took over the management of the Gesellschaft für Luftverkehrsforschung GmbH (GfL). On December 17, 2012, he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences at the TU Dresden.
