Hartmut Hebbel

Hartmut Hebbel (born November 7, 1943 in Gumbinnen ) is a German mathematician .

Life

After receiving his doctorate in 1978 as Dr. rer. nat. in Dortmund with Siegfried Heiler ( splines in linear spaces and applications in data analysis ) and his habilitation in 1982, the son of Walter Hebbel and Ilse Noack-Hebbel taught as a professor at the University of Hamburg (1988–1990), University of Essen (1990–1991) ), University of Munich (1991–1992) and at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (1992 until retirement in 2009).
