Hard salt

Hard salt is a mining term for salt rocks , which are generally harder than rock salt (halite). Hard salts consist of about 65% rock salt and about 15% of the potash salt sylvin and varying proportions of the sulfates kieserite (kieseritic hard salt) or anhydrite (anhydritic hard salt).
