Hartvig Klittegaard

Hartvig Klittegaard (* 1887 , † 1965 ) was a Danish police captain .

After the end of the Second World War, Klittegaard worked unpaid for a nationwide church register on German soldiers and refugees who had died in Denmark. He carefully examined cemetery by cemetery and the associated church registers in order to collect information on almost all burials of German and Allies.
