Hartwig Donner

Hartwig Donner (born January 13, 1941 in Vienna ) is a lawyer and was president of the University of Lüneburg .

Live and act

Hartwig Donner passed his Abitur in 1962 at the Leibniz School in Hanover and then studied law at the University of Hamburg and at the Philipps University of Marburg . In Hamburg he became a member of the Corps Franconia Hamburg . In 1967 he passed the first state examination in law, in 1971 the second state examination and his doctorate in Marburg.

Then he was a research assistant at the University of Hanover and from 1974 a teacher at the Oberstufenkolleg of the University of Bielefeld . After a substitute since 1985, he became professor at the University of Lüneburg in 1988. In 1989 he was appointed rector and from 1993 to 2006 President of the University of Lüneburg. The main focus of his work was public law and business law .
