Kostas Panagiotou

Kostas Panagiotou is a Greek singer , musician and music journalist born on August 8, 1977 in Kavala .

Life

Panagiotou was born in Greece, but lived part of his youth in Belgium where he began his music career and collaborated with Stijn van Cauter, among others . In 2004 he moved to London , where he has lived since then and is actively involved in the webzine Doom-Metal.com with interviews and reviews . Sometimes he was interviewed in 2011 by the German music magazine Metal Hammer as an expert on Funeral Doom .

Career

He became known in the 2000s when he participated in some funeral doom groups. Subsequently, he contributed to interpreters of the rock and doom spectrum such as Crippled Black Phoenix , Se Delan or A Dream of Poe as well as in the field of dark wave and post-industrial , such as Ereipia . Among the most popular performers with his participation are the band Pantheist, considered his main project, as well as the groups Crippled Black Phoenix, Wijlen Wij , Towards Atlantis Lights and Aphonic Threnody . He was also involved as a guest or as a temporary member of Clouds , Wastes , Landskap , Bellator , Daylight Misery and Mourning Dawn . Panagiotou mainly plays the keyboard and appears as a singer. At Wijlen Wij he also got involved as a guitarist.
