Harvey Elliott (born January 21, 1922 in Middleton , † February 1996 in Manchester ) was an English football player .

Career

Elliott was one of the large number of players (a total of 43) who were used in the first post-war season 1946/47 at Hull City under "Major" Frank Buckley . Committed to local football from Manchester in the second half of 1946 , he was initially a regular member of the reserve team in the Midland League for the club . His competitive debut for the first team in the Football League Third Division North he gave in late December 1946 in a 3-0 away win against Lincoln City , when he replaced Frank McCorrighan on the right half- forward position . During the rest of the season he came to three more league appearances, mostly he formed the right attacking side with David Davidson .

During the summer break of 1947 he was one of several players who were allowed a free transfer. Elliott joined the Cheshire League playing AFC Mossley and came early in the season to four competitive appearances (two league goals) before disappearing from national football.
