The Hashid Tribal Confederation ( Arabic حاشد, DMG Ḥāšid ) is the second largest tribal confederation in Yemen after Bakil . It was led by Abdallah ibn Husain al-Ahmar until his death on December 29, 2007 and is currently (March 2011) directed by his son Sadik al-Ahmar .

Members of the Hashid Tribal Confederation live mainly in the mountains in the north and northwest of Yemen.

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Salih is a member of the tribe. In the course of the protests in Yemen in 2011 , Sadik al-Ahmar, in his function as tribal leader, asked him to resign on March 21, 2011. On May 23, fierce fighting broke out between members of the Hashid and the security forces near Sadik al-Ahmar's house in al-Hasba , a district of Sanaa .
