The Hasensee (also Hasesee ) is located in the Seebach valley in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland at 434 m above sea level. M. in the community of Uesslingen-Buch between the villages of Buch and Uerschhausen .
The lake consists of two parts, separated by a 40 m wide wooded headland. The eastern basin measures 170 × 400 m and has an area of around 64,000 m² and a maximum depth of 5.8 m; The western basin measures 170 × 190 m and has an area of 35,000 m² and a maximum depth of 7.3 m. The runoff flows through a canal into the Hüttwilersee .
The Nussbaumersee and the Hüttwilersee are about 600 m to the north . Originally the area around the three lakes was a moorland with little forest. In the cultivation battle of the Second World War , the water level of the lakes was lowered by about 1.5 m and the bank areas were drained so that they could be used for agriculture.
