Uesslingen-Buch has been a political municipality in the Frauenfeld district of the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland since 1995 .
geography
The dual community Uesslingen-Buch consists of the two villages Uesslingen and Buch bei Frauenfeld and is located west of the canton capital Frauenfeld on the north bank of the Thur . In the north of the municipality on the border with Hüttwilen are the Hasensee and Hüttwilersee .
history
The political community Uesslingen-Buch was created on January 1, 1995 in the course of the Thurgau community reform from the amalgamation of the local communities Uesslingen and Buch bei Frauenfeld with the municipal community Uesslingen. The local community of Warth , separated from the municipal community of Uesslingen, merged at the same time with the local community of Weiningen, which was separated from the municipal community of Pfyn, to form the community of Warth-Weiningen .

Of the total of 1,085 inhabitants in the municipality of Uesslingen-Buch in 2018, 93 or 8.6% were foreign nationals. 566 (52.2%) were Protestant Reformed and 261 (24.1%) were Roman Catholic.

Blazon : With a wavy cut divided by white with two crossed black arrows with white blood channels and by black.
The arrows point to the center of Buch, the chapel dedicated to St. Sebastian. The wavy coat of arms symbolizes the Thur. The colors black and white reveal the former belonging to the judiciary of the Ittingen Charterhouse.
After the political community Uesslingen-Buch had been formed in 1995, the community assembly decided in 2005 to combine the coats of arms of the two former local communities into a new one.
economy
In 2016, Uesslingen-Buch offered work to 278 people (converted to full-time positions). Of these, 36.8% were employed in agriculture and forestry, 21.9% in industry, trade and construction and 41.3% in the service sector.

- The small Hasensee is located in the northwest of the municipality.
- The hamlets Iselisberg and Trüttlikon are listed in the inventory of places worthy of protection in Switzerland .
