Gregor Spuhler

Gregor Spuhler (born 1963 in Laufenburg AG ) is a Swiss historian .

Life

Gregor Spuhler studied history and German in Basel and Göttingen . After a research project on the history of Frauenfeld , from 1997 to 2001 he was one of the project managers at the Independent Expert Commission Switzerland - Second World War and co-author of the Bergier reports it published , including the controversial refugee report . After that he was assistant for modern general history at the history seminar of the University of Basel until 2007 and then took over the management of the archive for contemporary history (AfZ) at the ETH Zurich .

Spuhler wrote numerous local articles in the Historical Lexicon of Switzerland .
