Niederneunforn , in Swiss German Nidernüfere , is a village in the municipality of Neunforn in the Frauenfeld district of the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland . The wine-growing village, located on the slopes of the Thur Valley , formed a local community of the municipal community of Neunforn from 1803 to 1995 . On January 1, 1996 , the local community of Niederneunforn merged to form the political municipality of Neunforn.
history
Nidern Niuvron was first mentioned in a document in 1276 . The lower jurisdiction of Niederneunforn and a fifth of Wilen bei Neunforn was owned by the Ittingen Monastery until 1501 , then it was acquired by the Hünegg and soon by the Leuenberg. An opening was written in 1501. Until 1798 - except from 1680 to 1688 - Niederneunforn was under the same court lords as Oberneunforn , but kept its own judges.
Niederneunforn was always part of the Neunforn parish.
Arable, fruit and especially viticulture and animal husbandry shaped Niederneunforn.
