history

Towards the end of the 19th century, cattle and dairy farming replaced arable and viticulture. By 1900 the part of Huben close to the city had already merged with Frauenfeld and many residents worked in the city's businesses and industries. The Murkart cotton mill (1878–1931) had 136 employees in 1895.
