Hash Island is an island off the southeast coast of South Georgia . It is located in the entrance to Larsen Harbor .

Participants in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911–1912) under the direction of Wilhelm Filchner made a rough map of the island. The name probably goes back to scientists from the British Discovery Investigations , who re-measured the island in 1927. The further naming background has not been passed down.
