Hassan Hirt (born January 16, 1980 in Saint-Dizier ) is a French athlete .

He started athletics at the age of 15 and became a cross specialist. He was 21st at the 2008 European Cross Country Championships . He also took part in the Cross Country World Championships in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 , with his best placing in 53rd place at the Cross Country World Championships 2010 . In 2012, Hirt was able to qualify in the 5000-meter run for the Olympic Games in London , where he was eliminated in eleventh place in his preliminary run. However, he was subsequently disqualified and banned for two years because he had tested positive for EPO during a training check shortly before the games .
