Hattieville (Belize)

Hattieville - also known under the name Hattiesville Village - is a city in the Belize District province in Belize / Central America .
The city is 59 meters above sea level and has about 1300 inhabitants.
Originally, Hattieville was set up as a refugee camp in 1961 after the devastating Hurricane Hattie , but remained inhabited afterwards. The largest prison in the country is in Hattieville.
