Belize District is one of six administrative districts (Districts) in the Central American state of Belize with the provincial capital Belize City , which is also the largest city in the country.
The area of the Belize District also includes the islands of Ambergris Caye , Caye Caulker , Long Caye , Moho Caye and St. George's Caye as well as other smaller islands off the coast of Belize.

About 50 km west of Belize City is the Belize National Zoo. The Mayan ruins of Altun Ha are also located in the Belize District.
