Hauch is the name of an evangelical baron family that is based in Haunsheim Castle .

On November 14, 1876, Melchior Karl Hauch (1845–1887), Lord of Haunsheim ( Swabia ), was raised to the rank of nobility and barons in Munich and a month later he was also enrolled in the baron class in the Kingdom of Bavaria . Haunsheim Castle, owned by the Hauch family, is now partially open to the public.

The head of a red shield, inside a seven- pointed silver star , underneath it two erect red tips in silver , accompanied by three seven-petalled red roses with golden seeds . From the baron crown decorated with red-silver covers Tournament helmet a natural colored jumping growing chamois between open, right red, left silver flight out. Motto: "I trust my star".
