Main cemetery Neureut
The main cemetery Neureut is a cemetery complex in the northern Neureut district of the city of Karlsruhe . The facility covers an area of 5.3 hectares.
history
The main cemetery Neureut was opened in 1964 after the two other district cemeteries previously used had become too small. While burials continue to take place in the south cemetery in Neureut , the north cemetery in Neureut was closed for further burials in 1990. A special feature of the cemetery complex is the fountain, which was built around a central courtyard of honor , as well as the cemetery chapel. Both are works of the Karlsruhe architect Rainer Disse .
