Vilnius Main Post Office

The Vilnius Central Post Office (lit. Vilniaus centrinis paštas ) is a post office building in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . It belongs to the national company AB Lietuvos paštas . The construction goes back to the 19th century. The project author and architect was Yulijon Januschewski. The building has features of neoclassicism and neo-renaissance . The area of ​​the building on Gedimino prospektas in Vilnius Old Town is over 5400 square meters. In 2016 it was planned to rent the Vilnius main post office, built in 1886, as only about half of the central post office building was used for postal services and the operating costs were enormous.
