House Kaesbach

The Kaesbach house is located in Grund 79 in Düsseldorf - Lohausen . It was built in 1930 for the art historian Walter Kaesbach based on designs by the architect Karl Meinhardt .

The building is a three-story brick building in the forms of New Objectivity , New Building and Modernism . It is closed in a cubic manner and almost cube-shaped. The flat hipped roof cannot be seen from the street or the garden. The garden was originally part of the design. The facades each show “a different asymmetrical composition of different, sometimes extremely landscape-format openings, which end at the same height on each floor, but start at different heights”.

The building, including the garden, is a listed building .
