The house Lütcherath is a residential building in Wolfsburg district Vorsfelde in Lower Saxony . It was built in 1798 as a half-timbered house and is a listed building .

The building is a two story house with a steep mansard - hipped roof and a centrally arranged gable . The attic has three levels. It used to house the smokehouse for the slaughterhouse in the house .

The house is a building that was rebuilt as an arable citizen's house, the previous building of which was destroyed in the fire of 1780. The name is derived from the master bone mason Johann Heinrich Ernst Lüthcherath (1700–1774). He belonged to a family who had lived in Vorsfelde since the end of the 17th century and who still own the house today. A delivery room was set up in the building during the Second World War .

In 1993 the Heimatverein Vorsfelde put a plaque on the house with the following inscription:

  • Lütcherath house. Property of the Lütcherath family since the end of the 17th century, who were mainly active as bone cutters, butchers and farmers. Rebuilt after the great fire in 1798.
