The Gmina Książ Wielkopolski is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Śremski of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Xions ) with about 2700 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality covers an area of almost 148 km² and borders in the northwest on the municipality of the district town of Śrem (Schrimm) . The city of Poznan is about 40 kilometers north-northwest.
history
The community has existed since 1973 and was part of the Poznan Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 .
