The Church of the Archangel Michael

Chwałkowo Kościelne ( German 1939-1943 Neudorf , 1943-1945 Walkau ) is a village in Poland in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in the Powiat Śremski . The population of Chwałkowo Kościelne counts 730 people. Neighboring places are Kołacin , Mchy and Książ Wielkopolski . Despite the small population, there is a kindergarten and a primary school on site.

Attractions

  • The Church of the Archangel Michael , It was built in 1819 and has a neo-Gothic presbytery (1891). The tower dates from 1904. In the interior there are fragments of a late Gothic bas-relief with the Adoration of the Magi and a predella with the scene The Women at the Tomb from 1500.
