The Leithe house is located in the south of Gelsenkirchen in the Neustadt district at Junkerweg 30.

The property is listed in the list of monuments of the city of Gelsenkirchen as a "building of the former water system Haus Leithe with a clearly recognizable ditch system".

Haus Leithe consists of three building parts and the inner courtyard. The main house is a two-storey, plastered rectangular building with a stepped gable under a gable roof from around 1565. Under the building there is a cellar room under a cross vault made of bricks.

The two-storey gatehouse was built in 1753 and added a pinnacle crown in 1860. It has a round arched doorway with a warrior and archivolt , as well as the coat of arms of those of Isselstein in the apex.

The more than 400 m² barn with round arched gates was only built later as a plastered building under a gable roof with basic scales and ridge crowns and renewed in 1978 after a fire.

The vacant property has been owned for several years by an investor who wants to split it up into several condominiums. On July 10, 2019, there was a roof fire in the northeast wing of the complex, the roof of the remise in the gatehouse is in danger of collapsing. In connection with the fire, it became known that the owner still lacks the approval of the building regulations office and the lower monument authority for the renovation.
