history

The two-storey, plastered, rectangular villa with a basement, saddle roof , decorative framework in the gable, an Art Nouveau door , loggia and the garden-side veranda was built in 1844 for the cigar manufacturer August Ferdinand Dreier (1808–1895). He is said to have been the first Bremen merchant to have built a country house on the steep banks of the Lesum. At the turn of the century, the house was rebuilt in 1894. The gate with stylized palm fronds on Admiral-Brommy-Weg is remarkable. The artist Erich Klahn lived in the house around 1960.

The house stands directly on the steep slope of the Geestkante. The view from Admiral-Brommy-Weg (see photo) shows a strange perspective, as there is a short horizontal distance of about 15 meters between the camera position and the top of the ground near the house.

Today (2018) the house is used for residential purposes and offices.

On Lesmonastraße there are two further listed buildings: No. 3 ( Villa Trost ) and 70 ( Haus Minimrömmen ).
