House Spitz in Zülpich

The House Spitz was build in the first half of the 19th century, representative villa with large landscaped park in Zülpich . The building was initially enlarged in the second half of the 19th century, and a second expansion took place in 1905. House Spitz was entered in the list of monuments of the city of Zülpich under number 346 .

Haus Spitz was the home of the paper manufacturer Heinrich Xaver Sieger . The Sieger family had been running a grain distillery in the Zülpich Castle near the building since 1814 . The original interior fittings from 1905 with foyer, staircase and doors as well as parts of the furnishings from the mid-19th century are worth mentioning. The extensive landscaped garden contains remains of structural design.

Today Haus Spitz is the residence of the doctor and publisher Hans Biermann and also serves as a venue for concerts , vernissages and poetry readings .
