Hans Biermann (* 1954 in Lünen ) is a German publisher .

Live and act

Biermann studied medicine at the University of Münster and completed specialist training as an ophthalmologist at the University Clinics of Münster and Aachen . He completed his studies with a doctorate . In 1989 he founded Biermann Verlag GmbH , which started publishing a number of magazines and books in 1990 . In 1999 Biermann founded the digital subsidiary MedCon Health Contents AG , which, as the German partner of " Reuters Health", publishes one of the largest medical news programs in Germany and syndicates it on numerous own and third-party websites .

By taking over other publishers, such as the German-language medical publishing business of the English company "Reed Business Information", the publishing house grew rapidly and now publishes in 15 sub-areas of medicine. As of September 1, 2009, the five publishers were combined under the umbrella brand "Biermann Medicine".

Biermann is the author of the book The Health Trap - the Medical-Industrial Complex . He lives in the Spitz house in Zülpich .
