history

today's view

The house with a shed is on Zöllmener Strasse, corner of “Am Weinberg”. The upper floor of the main building and the shed are built in half-timbered construction. At the beginning of the 19th century it was the first house in Wurgwitz on the road towards Zauckerode . The property had a small piece of land behind the building. The first documented owner was Johann Gottlieb Döhnert. He sold it on May 28, 1847 to Carl Gotthilf Brendel, who also owned the Wurgwitz manor, only a few meters away .

The building is still a residential building today, and a garage door was installed in the shed facing the street.
