The House of German-Polish Cooperation (HDPZ) is an association in Upper Silesia , which u. a. is supported by representatives of the German minority in Poland .

The head office of the association is in Gliwice , another office is in Opole .

history

The House of German-Polish Cooperation was opened on February 17, 1998 in the presence of the German President Roman Herzog and the Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski in the "Villa Neumann".

Since August 2009 the head office has been located in the Nowe Gliwice Education and Business Center .

Club work

The goals and tasks of the House of German-Polish Cooperation include a. the promotion and deepening of German-Polish relations, the promotion of the German minority and the promotion of measures and initiatives in the fields of science, culture, history, economy, society and politics.

Projects

The latest project of the HDPZ is the archive of the story told . The project collects audio recordings of stories and interviews from residents of Silesia , which were conducted and recorded by children and young people. The HDPZ takes on the supervision and training of the young people.
