House of the Guest (Brilon)
The Haus des Gastes is a villa in Brilon in the style of classicism . The house houses a former collection of ovens from the oven museum , the city library and a Kneipp club . In the 1980s, the Brilon City Museum was also located here.
Brilon used to be known for its cast stoves with heating and cooking functions that were manufactured here . Some of these specimens were shown in the collection. The museum had to close in 2011.
The library holds more than 35,000 media and recorded over 136,000 loans with 11,250 registered members in the 2006 financial year.
The Kneipp association shows Kneipp water applications, hay bags and compresses and maintains small herb gardens in the city.
