Havila Group

The Norwegian Havila Group , based in Fosnavåg, is a privately owned group of companies.

The group was founded in 1997 by Per Sævik and his children Njål Sævik, Hege Sævik Rabben and Vegard Sævik and is still family-owned today. The group began with the fishing activities of the Sævik family.

The group is active in the following areas:

  • Tourism: The group owns several hotels. In addition, the subsidiary Havila Kystruten AS has won a tender, according to which it will take over part of the daily trips on the post ship line along the Norwegian west coast from the previous operator Hurtigruten AS from 2021 .
  • Offshore / Fishing: Havila owns several shipping companies that both fish and supply the offshore oil industry. These include the Havila Shipping company .
  • Transport. Havila is, among other things, the majority shareholder in the Norwegian ferry company Fjord1 . There are also investments in the Faroese ferry company Smyril Line and the Norwegian airline Widerøe .
