content

15-year-old Amy Fleming lives with her grandfather Jack Bartlett and her sister Lou on the Heartland farm in Virginia. In a tragic car accident in which Amy's mother Marion Fleming was killed, Amy has to continue her mother's legacy at the age of 15. This has healed horses that are injured in body and soul through alternative healing methods, communication and the resulting bond of trust. First, Amy has to fight for Heartland's reputation, as nobody wants to entrust their horse to a 15-year-old girl, especially since she is still in school. Due to the resulting financial problems, Heartland is about to end. Together with her sister, a businesswoman from New York, and the groom Ty Baldwin, they break through on an open house.

At first everything seems to be working out fine, but the various sisters find it difficult to come to terms with each other. Lou tries to contact their father, who left the family after a serious riding accident. When Lou locates him, she finds out that her father Tim lives in Australia with his second wife Helena and their child Lily. A little later he comes to Heartland to visit his two daughters. Amy cannot forgive him at first, but soon realizes that her father wanted to contact them again and again, but Marion prevented this. Amy finally forgives her father and he returns to Australia. Together with Ty, she devotes herself to healing horses again.

A short time later she realizes that her feelings for Ty have changed and that she feels more than just friendship for him. The two come together until the stable collapses in a tornado and Ty, who wanted to save the horses, is buried. He falls into a coma and Amy has to work more on the farm, but at the same time wants to spend a lot of time at his sick bed. When Ty finally wakes up, he has to relearn everything, which puts their relationship to the test. After Ty has regained his strength, he persuades Amy with her sister Lou and her boyfriend Scott to visit their father in Australia. At first, Amy cannot settle in with her father and his family and is in the shadow of her older sister. Only when she spends a few days alone with her boyfriend can Amy come to terms with Helena and her half-sister.

Amy, Lou, and Scott, whom Lou has since become engaged to, return home. There Lou and Scott get married and Amy is graduating from high school. To her amazement, she passed with quite good grades and Amy decides to leave Heartland and study veterinary medicine. Her friend Ty supports her, but soon they both find out that a long-distance relationship doesn't work. When Amy returns to Heartland during the semester break, the two separate. Her sister Lou is now heavily pregnant and is expecting her first child. After Amy returns to university, her niece Holly Marion is born. Amy has a deep friendship with Ty.
