description
The exact construction time of the building is not recorded. The one-story houses were built from quarry stone using a closed construction method. They are plastered and whitewashed and each end with a gable roof . The two outer buildings have thatched roofs, as is common in the Highlands , but not on Islay, while the two middle houses are covered with slate shingles in the traditional Islay style.
