Heathfield (Corrie)

Heathfield is a villa in the Scottish village of Corrie on the Isle of Arran in the North Ayrshire Council Area . In 1994 the structure was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in Monument Category C.

The one-story villa dates from the late 19th century. The exact year of construction is not recorded. Located on the western edge of Corrie not far from Corrie Free Church , Heathfield is not directly accessible from the A841 coast road . The masonry consists of cut rubble from red sandstone , with the building openings being set off by the edging with ashlar stones. In the middle of the east-facing front is the wooden entrance door with a decorated frame and a combat window . The dormers for lighting the converted attic are made as a gable . There are all lattice windowsinstalled. The building ends with a slate roof.
