Lever front cutter (around 1930)

The lever end cutter is a special version of a end cutter that is similar in shape and function to a pair of nippers . Thanks to the built-in lever mechanism, however, it applies considerably more force to the cutting edges and is therefore suitable for cutting through strong wires, nails or screws.

The master locksmith Wilhelm Hückinghaus from Remscheid registered his invention of lever front cutter as a utility model in 1892 .

The dimensions and test values are specified in DIN standard ISO 5748.
