Coordinates: 50 ° 4 '44 "  N , 8 ° 27' 53.9"  O Heddingheim is a desert in the area of today's municipality of Kriftel in the Hessian Main-Taunus district . It is located south of the village on today's road to Hattersheim .

The first documentary mention of it comes from the year 1277: The Retters monastery then owned a courtyard in Hittinkam , near the church of the village, which was consecrated to St. Boniface . The ending of the name in -heim indicates a foundation in the 7th century. The identifier was originally the personal name Heithar . Other documented forms of the name of the place are 1437 Hedenkeym, 1459 Heddekeym, 1472 Hedenkommen, 1472 and 1528 Hedekam, 1490 Heydeckhem, 1547 Hedekhan and 1565 Hedikheim. In 1578 the local church was demolished and the stones were used to build a manor. The place must have fallen desolate by then.

The location can be derived from district names. Hedenkeymer Gasse is mentioned in Kriftel in 1355 (today's Kapellenstrasse). From 1755 to 1958, a small Boniface Chapel stood in its extension on the site of the former Heddingheim church. Today's Bonifatius Chapel, built afterwards, is located about 300 m southwest of it on a hill.
