Hedgehog Island is a small island of bare granite off the Borchgrevink coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . In Moubray Bay it is 1.5 km south of Helm Point .
A team of Hallett Station she visited in 1957. Scientists of a 1957-1958 campaign carried out as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it after its shape to a hedgehog ( English hedgehog recalls).
